Didn't want to start a new thread for this scum. His trial date has been set for November 26th per ESPN's coverage. His conditions of bail will include his not being allowed to travel outside of the jurisdiction of his residence without permission from pre trial services. His co-defendents were both ordered to undergo drug testing due to previous convictions and to wear monitoring devices. Vick was not.

Superceding indictment to be filed in August which means that they may be adding new charges or dropping someone who is cooperating already per Roger Kossack of Court TV (there are rumors that Taylor and Vick have had a falling out and he's been out of the ring since 2007). That could require a new arraignment and trial date depending on how much the indictment changes. Vick and his codefendents waived the right to a speedy trial, but it only gained them about 6 weeks.

Vick's lawyer is now talking flanked by Mama Boddie doing the Michael will be vindicated in court. Read a statement purportedly by Mike proclaiming his innocence but only apologizing to his Mama for all the trouble HE has caused the family and his teamates for not being with them in "spring training" (I think his lawyer mis ghost-wrote that for Mike...).

Amazingly, they never convicted any for murder in that case, IIRC. Truly sad.

You guys need to stop judging this man and let the trial play out. If he comes out innocent, all of you will look like idiots! These are accusations with evidence coming from witnesses who are thugs themselves. How much trust can you put in someone who is already doing dirt! Just wait for all the facts to come out before you deem the man guilty!

Even Mort and the ESPN waterboys are now saying not only will bhe never take a snap in Atlanta again, he likely won't take another in the NFL. Mort claims the cap hit isn't as bad as previously predicted to cut him, and he thinks Blank will do that if somehow Vick gets off or tries to come back pending trial if the Commissioner doesn't extend his "suspension" or whatever it is he's on now. But Mort expects that if the Commissioner's new independent council finds sufficient evidence to corroberate any of the charges in the indictment, Goodell will suspend him probably by the 3rd week in August.

BTW the judge who presided in the bond proceding (who was not the trial judge) said he'd received a lot of impassioned email about the case and while passions run high that as repulsive as the cruelty charges are they are not part of the indictment which primarily relates to an interstate gambling enterprise...

I don't have to wait for the trial, I think he's guilty now. I think OJ's guilty too, though the trial said otherwise. I'm not always right, I thought the Duke players were guilty, and boy was I wrong, but I feel comfortable given the evidence that I've seen to decide that he was involved.

That's the problem with society today! People want to judge people without knowing all the facts. I guess that makes you part of the problem!

Whether or not he's convicted in court he is history in Atlanta. Blank has had it with him. As Mort said if and when he releases him he expects Blank will cite behavior beyond what happened in this case as his rationale. He wants a face of the franchise that doesn't make him wince.

I don't have to let a trial play out since I'm not part of that process. I'm not affraid of looking like an idiot on this one. When you by choice surround yourself with thugs in crimimal activity those are usually the bulk of the witnesses against you. As long as their testimony matches up to the facts as established by other evidence they are just as credible as you or me. Remember, the Feds didn't dig up the entire property, they knew right where to go based on an informant's information. They will have hard evidence to corroberate any witness testimony they present.
