The Pats have a ton of picks on Day 2. This is where they can get creative and take some gambles on low risk/high potential players.

I think they could have squeezed more out of their trades, but most likely they were satisfied with taking meriweather and then stocking the cupboard for next year.

Default What Is With the Mini-Borges Clones Here Complaining? CALM DOWN

To scott99, bradytobrown, marcus, and drew4008:
Why are you so quick to judge this draft and proclaim the Jets as the 'student teaching the master'? Are you closet Jets fans or Ron Borges apprentices?

NO ONE knows how any of these players are going to turn out immediately after the draft. And in case you didn't notice, the Jets basically traded their entire draft for two players; if one busts, they really screwed up this draft.

I dare you to go back in history and see how teams that were declared immediate draft winners ended up doing.

While we may not agree with our moves, we should feel fortunate that we have two men guiding our ship who are objective, long-sighted, and don't let emotions get in the way of keeping this team a championship contender for years and years and years.

There is a good chance they are Jets fans, just ignore them.

It's all about being drunk and wanting to talk about new toys. Hell, we didn't even need to draft this year to field a solid team.

1. These bandwagon fans probably disagree with the Wes Welker trade.
2. They also completely fail to see that MANY current and past Patriots players were 4th round or lower picks who turned out to be solid.
3. They are freaking out over this draft and ignoring the huge injection of pro-bowl free agent talent that we added before the draft.
4. They are probably the same people who went overboard over not taking David Terrell, or for getting 2 tight ends, or for building up the O/D lines.

I second the sticky!

With all the activity we've had in FA. We could not draft anyone and still be a superbowl contender. CALM DOWN.

Dude you forgot marcus, the ring leader. And a sticky would be cool.

They'll find out Randy can't run consistently anymore. He'll drive [Tom] Brady and [Bill] Belichick crazy. This is just my personal opinion from what I saw: He's losing his legs. He's becoming an old man fast.
