So many here are getting ready to jump off the Tobin because we did not draft Harris or use both first rounders. This is rediculous! The odds that these players would step in immediately and contribute are slim. Yes, they would gain experience, but deferring our pick until next year is not the end of the world. We still have another what 8-9 picks? I do not think it is necessary to throw out names of those drafted during the second day that have turned out to be all-pro contributors.

It aint about instant impact. You draft for future need. It's not the end of the world, but when is skipping LBs and sticking with dead men in the LB core gonna stop? It cost us last year.

Do you think Beioli skipped Harris, Posluszy, and the like for no good reason?

Look, I love Beioli, but they aren't ALWAYS right. Bethel (*****ing) Johnson over Anquan Boldin comes to mind immediately, and there have been several more. The odds of Harris AND Posluszy both being busts are pretty low. One or both will probably become stars, and god forbid both do, they'll be smacking our RB's in the mouth for years to come. Terrible trade in my opinion, you have two #1's, you use them. Wilfork & Watson worked out, might as well try it again. I wish we had traded Deion for a #2, maybe we would have used it.

Using two #1's if the value is not there (Harris was drafted about 20 picks later) is naive, short-sighted, and quite frankly stupid.

Are we seriously THAT impatient? Good Lord. This is getting crazy.
Some people on here are so short-sighted it's not even funny. The Pats care about getting value for their picks. The fans care about not being bored and jealous for an afternoon.
I would have thought what the Pats compared to what other teams have done in past years would translate into fans knowing they'd get the last laugh.
I just love how people want the Pats to draft players just for the sake of drafting players and keeping themselves busy. If they don't have a player rated high, why would they just draft him because they have the pick? Get another 1st rounder for next year, hope the Niners struggle, and take your chances on what should be a stronger draft class (it can't get much worse than this years).
I didn't want Poz in the 1st since well before the draft. I said he was too small and unathletic for the Pats system. Looks like BB agreed. I thought that Harris was a 2nd round talent, and looks again like the Pats agreed and judging from where he got taken again the Pats brass was right.
You guys are forgetting the reason that the Pats got Wilfork and Watson in the same year is EXACTLY because they did what they just did in this draft, rolled a pick forward into the future hoping for better value.
Linebacker fanatics calm down. Zak DeOssie is still on the board and Day 2 brings a ton of picks. Not a lot of em are going to make this team but the ones that do should turn out pretty good.
I'm thinking we'll see a linebacker, punter, runningback, cornerback, ol, and dl. We have what 9 picks so on Day 2 we can afford to take shots in the dark and hope we luck out and land a Marques Colston type of steal.
