YESSSSSS thats the one that easily hurt the most. It happened at the 2 minute warning in the 05 playoffs. They were trying to drive down for a complementary TD but the Patriots D wouldnt let that happen. On the 3 games to Glory DVD you can just see Edge's persperation just fly off his face. His back bent pretty good and probably knocked the wind out of him.
YEP!! and you explained it better than I could but that's the one!! I could hear that hit all the way on my couch.... It was one of those were you scruntch up and say out loud " Ouch... or D@mn... That had to hurt." lol..

Agreed 100%. I was about to post the same thing. You beat me to it.

I believe Garin Veris broke through and flushed O'Brien scrambling right...straight into Tippett. Malachi Crunch heard all the way in Boston from New Jersey.

The biggest collision I ever saw was Ted Johnson stoning Jerome Bettis, I think late 90's. Bettis hit the hole (inside run) full steam, and Johnson just stopped him cold. Bettis got up eyes wide and blinking waay too much, and had to come out of the game. That may have even been in one of their playoff games (96-97?).

In the 2002 Opening MNF game with the Steelers (The supposed "revenge" game), Willie McGinest hit Kordell Stewart so hard as he released the ball that it looked like he got hit by a car. He just flew backwards. The play resulted in an INT returned for a TD that got called back by a penalty. Unfortunate, but still a memorable hit. Deion Branch got a great block on a Donald Hayes (who?) TD too, if I recall. The Pats just kicked ***** that night all around.

Did the hit require a stretcher for the injured player and what game/year it was and was it a hit that put the player on IR? -Thanks
Curious why you ask?

Was that the hit that tore Johnson's pectoral muscle and put him on IR?

My candidates would be:

1) Ben Watson on that Int return for a TD... where he obliterated the guy right before he went in for a TD... they called it a TD anyway, but I disagree.

2) Virtually any hit on a Rams WR in that first SB.

No I remember he kept playing in the game I'm thinking of, although the timeframe seems about right.

There must be a Rodney highlight hit in there somewhere (probably a late one ).
Those are both my two favorites of all time, also. I'd put the Jones hit first because of the game.
