Default Brady/Manning Manning/Brady Gets a little boring - New Blood on the rise?

Even though I love (not in a romantic way,but theres nothing wrong with that ) Tom Brady as our quarterback and Peyton Manning as the next best QB in the league,Albeit debated by everyone with these two we still need to get some new blood into the best NFL QB mix.

I get tired of hearing for the past 5 years or so Brady Vs. Manning...Manning Vs. Brady...AND ON AND ON AND ON AND ON...

We need some new QB blood to get into the race for best QB,A few new challengers would make it better and more interesting...Some of these guys should be creeping up on Tom and Peyton soon...Who will it be?

Palmer?,Young?,Leinart?,Cutler?,Rivers? - Who will be joining Tom and Peyton in the best QB discussions within the next year hopefully ..Its getting boring with just these two guys and all the rest being also-rans.

I pick Carson Palmer,With a better Offensive Line he could be the next great QB to come compared to a Brady and Manning typical year.

Any better selections?

While I don't know if any of them will ever be on the level of the big 2 I would have to think that Drew Brees needs to be in the discussion. I think he is the next closest right now and if his team can start dominating then it might have to become the Big 3. He was honestly probably the best QB in the league last year and had to adapt to 2 rookies as his main targets which is no easy task.

On another note, I just don't get the Jay Cutler hype. He really hasn't shown me anything yet that suggest he will become elite.

I don't think the Bengals really have what it takes yet to get Carson Palmer into that mix. Rivers we'll only find about when he is forced to take total responsibility for that offence (ie when Tomlinson isn't there).

I loved what I saw from Vince Young last year. He'll be a great player, but the Titans are going backwards.

I agree with the Brees and Cutler comments above. Brees is on a seriously talented team. Cutler I'd like not to have to evaluate for another season. But he shows promise.

Leinart might be the one to watch in the medium term. There are indications that the Cards are getting their act together, and if they manage to get hold of Joe Thomas in the draft, it would be a major step in the right direction.

How come you didn't mention Big Ben? I'm sorry. I'll get my coat.

Yeah, I'd put Drew Brees as the #3 QB in the league right now. As a New Orleans native, I can tell you that that team would not have sniffed the playoffs if not for him.

As for the other great QBs, I'd put McNabb and then Palmer next. Bulger is very good, but I doubt will ever be Brady/Manning good. For the younguns, I like Roethlisberger, Young, Rivers, and Leinart in that order right now. People are forgetting Big Ben, but I look for him to bounce back after all he went through last year. I've never been too impressed with Cutler.

I think that my list would go:

Brady/Manning
Palmer
Brees
Roethlisberger
V. Young

Leinart
Cutler
Grossman

Cutler is the one that scares me least. In our conference, at least. Grossman is pretty horrific to look at on a football field, so he's pretty scary too.

Brady/Manning
Brees
Palmer

Leinart is promising.

Cincinatti is iffy with all the problems (like half their team is in jail). Brees is the one I would consider for top 3 consideration.

Marc Bulger is a VERY good QB - one of the best.

I've always liked Marc Bulger as a Top 5 quarterback. He's been improving every year, he's very solid now. He had ridiculous TD/INT and ATT/INT ratios this year, something like a pick every 3 touchdowns and every 80 passes. Unfortunately that Rams team is like a rowboat with one oar, so he never goes anywhere, no matter how many yards he passes for.

Rivers and Leinart are two to watch. Losman too, I respect people who quarterback in Buffalo. That's a hard place to wing it.

Give credit where credit is due, Matt Hasselbeck should be part of every top 5-8 discussion.
