There are normally 10 defensive back positions (8 LB and 7 DL's), although everyone can compete for the Player 53 position.

At least two will be cut even if we don't draft anyone. We'll alos probably bring in injury insurance, perhaps Mickens. Please realize that whoever we draft need to replace someone and be ready to contribute now.

They might not need to cut two. You could always put Gay on IR...
Scott's spot could be replaced with a high-potential rookie. Scott has played very well when he has been in, and has he beloved versatility, but he is also old and injury-prone.
Spann is fairly easy to cut.
Baker is gone.
Mitchell could also be replaced by a rookie if Hawkins is available for special teams. His recovery could determine his viability as a ST option.
You might see:
Samuel - Hobbs - rookie - Gay
Harrison - Wilson - rookie - Sanders - Hawkins
Andrews
Obviously it all depends on how the draft pays out, but I don't consider Spann or Baker to even be considerations to make the team, even if there were no draft coming up.
Because injuries always happen to the secondary, I would have 20 DBs in TC, at least 14 of whom worthy of belonging on a SB-quality roster.
Oh come on now that's a touch unrealistic. Most teams are lucky to have 14 total players worthy of belonging on a SB quality roster. You expect us to put out the AFC All Pro backfield there? Heck even the backups would have to be all pros according to this standard.
I would be happy with an upgrade at safety and a CB that we could develop for the future.

I'd like to take a safety very early. Probably, round 1. Then, add a cb in round 3 or 4. Don't think we can count on R.Gay to stay healthy.
Starters; Samuel,Harrison,Wilson, Hobbs
Backups; C.Scott,J.Sanders,#1(R.Nelson),#3
Contenders for last two spots; Hawkins,Mitchell,Gay,Spann,Andrews and Baker.
