Eagles Dolphins?
Patriots?
Titans? Stallworth too pricey?
<Mar. 8> Stallworth met with the Titans on Wednesday and is expected to visit the Dolphins today, according to the Philadelphia Daily News.
The free-agent wide receiver, whom the Eagles do not plan to re-sign, visited the Patriots on Tuesday. Stallworth and agent Drew Rosenhaus are believed to be seeking between $10 and $15 million in guaranteed money, but there doesn't appear to be much interest in the 26-year-old at that price.

Drew Rosenhaus is worth at least a 30% discount!

If the rumors are true and we offered him 6 yrs 32 million and he accepts I will be dissapointed. If the other rumors are true and we offered 1 or 2 years I'll be ok with it.

All depends on the guaranteed money. It could have been 6 years $600 million for all I care (and knowing Rosenhuas, he inflated the numbers just that way) - guranteed money is all that counts.

Given what we paid Welker, $4 million season seems about right - just depends on how much is guaranteed.

I think its time to move on from Donte, the more i read this week , the more of a prima donna he it turning out to be.. And again, i will be the first to say , I want the guy on the Pats, but its getting a little ridicoulous too..

The Pats always deal from a position of strength and discipline regardless of how many holes they seem to have at a particular position. That's the good news. No matter what happens, they make the right decision based on a player's relative value to the team. If he comes aboard, he comes under the terms of the team.

Walking onto a used car lot and finding the car you'd love to drive is one part of the buying process. Being able to walk away when the dealer demands something above the right price is the other part.

When Stallworth was here, the rumor was $32 mil, 6 years, $10 mil guaranteed. THe thread is a couple of pages back.

However, I know believe Rosenhous made that up as a bargaining ploy. I cannot see the Pats leaving a standing offer like that on the table.

Exactly - so that's what, like a 3 year $3.5 million a year guaranteed contract?

That's not an outrageous amount... again it's just the health issue. How many games will you actually have him for over the 3 years.
