I felt that way as well...until I read a response in another thread by FGSSAND, he pointed out that the way to look at it is.....
If the player we chose in the second round was as good as Welker, that would be a terrific draft selection.
Well, that is exactly what we have here, we fill a need with a player that steps in and contributes right away.....
3 and 6 - go to Welker for another Patriots FIRST DOWN, and, we solve the void in our return game. How many more punts do you think Troy Brown is going to return (hopefully he does come back for one more year) but the job is now Welkers (assimng Miami does not match, and I don't think they can).
Sorry, no matter how you slice it, Welker is a great pilfer from the fins.
