Default Bills Scare me a lot more than Jets and Fins

i think their defense gets better with another solid draft and the signing of kelsay. even though they will lose clements i think they more than make up for it with draft of either okoye or willis and other signings and moves in the front 7.

losman finished 11th in QB rating at 25 years of age in his first year under new coaches. i'd take him over noodle arm chad any day. (and don't even mention the best coach-killing QB since jeff george daunte.) and lee evans is without doubt the best big play WR in the division and one of the best in the league. this offense can only get better next season as they aren't losing any starters and they will have some additions.

the bills finished 5 & 2 after reorganizing their offensive line after the bye week, after which their LT peters didn't give up a single sack -- not bad since those 7 games featured opponents such as san diego and baltimore.

the media focuses on so-called "mangenius" because they're in new york. but if you look at their schedule last year they had a single victory over a team with a winning record, and that was the mud bowl in foxboro where the field was so bad it was torn up after the game ... that game was an anomoly that the pats made right in the playoffs, finishing with a winning record of 2 & 1 against the jets.

levy's core philosophy is that defense, offense and special teams all deserve equal attention and the bills special teams all things considered - kickoff coverage, punting, returns, FGs - is one of the league's best. that same philosophy is what got the bears to the super bowl.

with polian winning a super bowl in Indy (he was bills GM in 3 of the 4 SB losses), marv levy will be feeling he can do it too. i think the real new york team to focus on is the upstate variety in buffalo.

thoughts?

It's too early to assess any of the teams, maybe after a couple of months of Free Agency and the draft we can check out the rosters.

i was happy to learn so-called "mangenius" named busted chad his QB for next year today. ahhh, so easy on the defense when they only have to defend 15 yards past the line of scrimmage.

The same Bill's that have JP Losman as their QB? I think you overestimate them just a tad. Let's see what happens with their free agents first and then we'll talk.

You're either a Bills fan or you lost total site of what they're expected to lose in the next week or so.

Their defense will take huge hits once Clements, Fletcher-Baker leave through free agency, and once they release (pending) Spikes. The possible trade of McGahee will only hurt their offense. The Bills will either decline or stay stationary.

The Dolphins reportedly are very interested in Randy Moss and may be reunited with Culpepper giving instant offensive powerhouse status to the Phins..Then I would be more worried about the fins...right now they appear slightly below us in talent,The Jets will be about the same as last year and the Bills have a QB named J.P. Losman..no worries there.

Good, I'd rather we fly under the radar this off-season much unlike last year.

funny how you so easily dismiss a young QB on a team in transition who finished 11th in QB ranking, just 2 slots behind brady.

i guess you also wanted brady to take a seat when bledsoe returned from injury too.

Loserman is ripe, ripe for exploitation by BB. He will not let the Bills seriously challenge the Pats for the AFCE. The Bills like many are going to suffer some FA attrition.

Advances which permit this norm to be exceeded — here and there, now and then — are the work of an extremely small minority, frequently despised, often condemned, and almost always opposed by all right-thinking people. This is known as "bad luck." RAH
