Default Offseason Wish List

If you had to list your top 3 to 5 wishes for this offseason what would they be? I was thinking along the lines of general discussion more than specific details, for example, solidify secondary as opposed to sign Assante.

1. Get younger and deeper on D.
2. Surround our QB with effective help on offense.
3. Use cap money. If we are saving up for something nice.....how about a LB.

1. Improve the running game (it went missing down the stretch). ie Release Dillon and find a power back to replace him.

2. Draft some DB youth (safety if Assante is kept).

3. Find some three and four-year guys to bring into our 3 - 4 setup at LB.

These are very general observations and would likely change on the fly, once pieces started falling into place (or out of place).

1. Shore up the secondary

2. Get younger and faster at linebacker

3. Find a true #1 receiver (I think a strong #1 combined with Gaffney, Caldwell & Jackson, plus one more decent reciever assuming Troy Brown retires, could be pretty good...)

4. Find out what happened to Laurence Maroney and shore up here, if necessary

5. Egg Bobby Wade's house

Two impact free agents less than 30 years old or re-sign Daniel

Graham and Asante Samuel.

donnie edwards could be a good choice.

who does everyone think the pats will get for brady as a true #1 recv'r?

the only place i see is in the draft and we all know most wr's in the first round breakdown or are not impact their first year.

i think they'd be better served going def on first two picks then wr in 2nd round or even 3rd round.

they need to stack the defense and sign a stallworth or preferably bobby engram. there is not much out there for wr's in free agency.

1) Re-sign Asante. I think our secondary is fine, filled with youth and depth

2) Get some fresh legs for the LBs. This is a 2 step process, a wiley vet is needed to fill a regular role for the next 2-3 years, and an early round pick should be spent on a future starter.

3) Get a small, speedy, quick off the snap WR to help open up the passing game.

I don't know WHO but most will agree we lacked in the passing game this year. Losing Branch hurt but nobody wants to see us and Brady go throught this again.
We can address LB/DB with the 2 first rounders but after that imo we need to get a little more support for Brady. We need to have better WR's than this year.Maybe C.J will help, who knows.

absolutely agree with #3 and this they may be able to find in the lower rounds, a productive but undersized wideout or what about a 3rd down back to groom behind faulk?
