Default both SB XLI kickers were on Pats '05 training camp roster

Super Bowl XLI pits a matchup between field goal kickers Adam Vinatieri and Robbie Gould

I should note that both of these kickers were on the Pats '05 training camp roster.

Of course, we all know the events that transpired between Adam and the Pats.

Please note that in know way am I suggesting that the Patriots should have kept Robbie Gould, as well all know that you only hang onto one field goal kicker, and there was no way he was going to beat out Vinatieri. I just think it is interesting to note.

Very interesting. I'm extremely happy with Gostkowski, though.

Um, yeah. I think some of us knew that. No offense, but it doesn't ease the pain much.

I'm living in fear that the NFL is turning into the NKL!

Give the ST scouts credit on that one. And what odds you want to give that whatever FA kicker the Pats bring to spell Gostkowski next summer will end up on an NFL roster in 2007?
