Lofton and the Raiders are working on details of a contract, according to sources. Lofton could be named the team's head coach as early as Wednesday, Jan. 17.

Disappointed Ryan missed out. He should move on now.

wow, congrats Lofton, always liked him, a great and underrated player. The Raiders seem light years away from being relevant though. Poor Brady Quinn or Jamarcus Russell.

Why are you shocked? I heard Davis set up an interview booth outside the unemployment office.

Al Davis is defintiely unconventional. I'm sorry for those Raiders fans.

1. They are destined to be bad until Al Davis sells the team.

2. They have to endure a year with Bledsoe at QB
