Default Did Marty not playing Martyball cost San Diego?

People always said Marty playing conservative instead of opening the offensive bag of tricks cost them in previous seasons.

Seems to me if he played conservative ball in the second half by letting rivers hand the ball off to LT more often instead of just 9 times in the second half that the Chargers chances of winning would have gone way up.

The Patriots had absolutely no answer in stopping LT and he probably could have rushed for 175 yards or more if he had more opportunties than he had in the 3rd and 4th quarter - Bad coaching on Marty and staff and thats why we have the best staff and limit mistakes which helped us win.

Even that fancy end around went for a 11 yard loss,The fancy bag of tricks and trying to pass was the wrong way to go - IMO Martyball would have won that game for them!

"The better team won that game,The best team lost it" - A good statement from a Sirius sportscaster that I heard earlier today and seems right on target.

I am glad Marty decided to get fancy and let the rookie try throwing more,Its a big reason why we are thrilled about heading to the AFC Championship.

You bet it did. And every Patriot's fan cannot deny that logic without having blinders on. Tomlinson should of ran it 35 times.

I thought Marty made a mistake by playing into the media when he said he wouldn't even wear a headset. No matter what the media said, that's his team. He let the media into his head.
