KEEP LT UNDER 80 YARDS RUSHING- KEEP LT UNDER 80 YARDS RUSHING - KEEP LT UNDER 80 YARDS RUSHING...Got it? - If LT gets near or over 100 yrds rushing then we go packing for home, simple to understand.
protect brady ..take merriman out of the game or make him iffective some how
go deep early/ho huddle and take some shots -try and get a lead
LT is going to get 100 yards...put the game in rivers hands and see if he can make mistakes...
Contain Ledainian, of course. He'll get his yards, just don't let them be "big" yards, ie, in the Red Zone.
Confuse and pressure Rivers. Still a very young guy, can be susceptible to the "lull", letting him think his receiver is open then attacking when the ball is thrown, as TLaw does so well against Pay-a-ton.
On O we need to confuse the Bolts reactive D into over-playing, then slip Maroney or Faulk under the pressure. Also play-action to Reche and Gafney. Use Graham's blocking strength and post to a streaking Troy.
That should do it. Plus a few odds and ends.

Stuff the run ,contain LT and force Rivers to pass. I think Rivers will be the ultimate downfall of the Chargers. It's his first year and BB will confuse the heck out of him, just as we did to Big Ben in his first year.

I think the Chargers will be a different tempo. Today's the Jets dinked and dunked. Rivers will try midrange to long passes. So i'm thinking their will be 3 and outs, more punts, more possessions.
The Pats need to do what they did today. Score first and control the temp, keep the edge rushers off key with inside draws, screens, swing passes, chipping from rb's and tightends to help tackles.

Brees plays for New Orleans. We must make Rivers beat us. We have the coaching advantage. Marty is an idiot.

It's all about containing LT. If they have to consistently move up the field via the pass, we should be able to contain them on offense. If LT is chewing up yards on the ground, we're toast. Having Rodney back wouldn't hurt, either...
