Rivers has been sacked more than Brady i believe..so if u say your pass procection has been great because the sack #s..then we can say the same

we've played in tough places every year..its nothing new
I have a ton of respect for the Pats and for Belichik, but so far you guys have had a lot of trouble with LT when we've faced you head-to-head. Granted, it's a small sample, but his last two games against you guys were huge.

Last year your defense was injured, so we'll call that one a wash, and 2002 was quite awhile ago, so again, I won't make too much of it. But I doubt you guys were doing a lot different schematically in either of those games. LT is just one of those guys...you have to shut him down 20-30 times in a game. If you do it wrong 3 or 4 times you could find yourself having given up an extra 70 or 80 yards rushing and a TD or two.

Also, our o-line is very solid now--better than last year's. our center Hardwick's a pro-bowler, and Dielman and McNiell, our LG and LT, are pro-bowl alternates. The left side of our o-line has been a "go-to" gap this year and often we have success there even when teams are stacking to stop the run. That's when schemes go out the window and it's all about 1 on 1 matchups.

Anyway, I think it will be a great game. Everyone's focused on your defense against our offense, but I think the matchup of our defense against your offense will actually be more important. I anticipate a low-scoring game...something in the 20-13 or 21-17 range. Your defense will limit our offense but won't dominate it, our defense will limit your offense but won't dominate it, and it will probably come down to turnovers and big special teams plays.

You are absolutley correct, and you are including Rivers in that as well.

I love the old Rivers is better than Bray because of the ProBowl selction. That one makes me laugh every time.

You were 14-2 for one reason and one reason alone. LT. You have a great team, just dont be a homer.

Slow down the run, protect Brady. If we can do those two things, let the chips fall where they may.

Rivers doesnt throw picks though, Brady will take that gunslinger mentality to heart and chuck it down the field. Often risking much more then a sack. Rivers knows when to tuck it.

Because Gates will force you to back off the line, hes too quick for your big slow D. Ive said this before.

To round it off, its all about matchups, and the Chargers have a BIG advantage over you. Some teams just match up well against us, but you dont.

Well ive made some good points right? And I know weve been ignorant on othe boards, but weve been right havent we? Yep, my point exactly.

no u havent made big points..your basically saying its individual effort and how good a player is that will make the difference..

sorry but i dont see how you can make it seem like LT will be unstoppable just like that..did u watch the Chiefs game? Everyone was saying over 200 for LJ and what happened? LJ has been great all year till now.why? Gameplans..you dont know what a taem will do. Dont think BB will just say ..stop the run..hes going to create a lot of wrinkles to slow LT down.

and your saying Gates's speed will be tough for our LBs and therefore he will have a big game..well i've see speed not get it done plenty of times..depends how we play him.

im a huge LT fan..i know hes hard to stop but u make it sound like its impossible..well to remind you..Pittsburgh held him to 2.8 ypc..49ers help him to 3.4 ..Denver to 3.7 one game ..Ravens 3.8

so its possible to slow him down and keep him quiet

remember our run D was ranked 2nd when we had Wilfork in....our run D deserves respect

my main concern is Gates..and by gettign to Rivers that should create TOs and sacks .. mess with young Philip

your OL is magnificent? How was Colts OL every year we confused the hell out of Peyton? You cant take for granted what your team has done..because playoff football is completely differrent.

Don't sell the Bolts short; they've got talent.

and if their coach wasn't an idiot they would have gone 15-1. you even point out why the team has overcome Marty: talent

we averaged 30 points a game and most of those 30 point games Gates didnt even have a 100 yards or a TD

so it just proves my point that you guys dont know what ur talking about

guess you dont know anything abotu us..2nd least points allowed this year behind Ravens..

so wait..hold up..same Ravens that you ONLY scored 13 points on? So your magically going to put up 17 more points on the 2nd best team in points per game allowed than you would agaisnt the #1?

you put high points on teams like Titans, 49ers, Rams, Browns, Bengals and Denver..besides Denver..rest of the teams are ranked in top 10 WORST defenses..

We are 6th overall..should be higher but run D slacked end of year without Wilfork who you kids were drooling over on your boards as i lurked a few minutes ago
