Default Can someone please tell me why..

...Dave Thomas was such a world beater in that one game and than virtually disappears for the remaining game? It seems many were saying his blocking skills were really good too but he wasn't otherwise involved in the offense against the Titans.

He's a rookie and not a focal point of the offense...yet.

Because every game is different and the opposing D has different weaknesses we can exploit, and every game different players are focused on.. kinda like using the no huddle offense, can't do the same thing every time, Brady will get killed.. we have so many weapons, difficult for teams to predict what we will do and who will be key. Just having him on the field, makes the D think they have to cover him.

Some very good answers have accumulated - uh oh, I'm having a senior moment and lost the cogent and highly insightful point I intended to make, I'm going to be awful when I do get to be a senior!

Your post does highlight complaints posted quite often about players who make good plays or have good games and then appear to disappear, no 'must force the ball to Supermouth' on this team.

Plus, BB knows that keeping the opposition guessing is the essence of Sun Yzu. Mind and body: BOTH are involved.

Gotta love it!

Thanks guys for all the replies. Very informative.
I have a real good feeling about Thomas from what I've read and from what I've seen.
Out here in the midwest I can't always see the games but I always monitor the Sportsline gamecast and try to keep up in the chat room. Until the trolls take over that is.
But back to Thomas. I really really hope we can retain all 3 of our tight ends.
Can you imagine these guys after a couple of seasons of working together.
Maybe Dave can show Dan and especially Ben how to have good hands.
This is going to be one beast of a tight end rotating tandrum.

Yet he still manages to pull off a good point.
You are absolutely right, BoR. It sure is nice not to have to rely on one "Star" who has a big mouth or is always getting injured or is just a strait up ******** in the lockerroom or/and worse of all, ineffective in big games.
