I think they are beatable because of ole Marty. He is one of the worst post season coaches ever and is constantly thinking of glorious new ways to blow it in the playoffs.

I don't know how anybody think LT could be stopped. He has scored 2+ TDs in the last half season. Rivers could have a crappy game, Marty could stink the joint up, but LT is going to bail them out regardless. This year it looks like even Marty can't screw this playoff up.

Let's not forget that Bill Cowher was once saddled with the reputation for not being a "big game coach" before he went on his improbable and unprecedented run last season.

Shotty has been choking in the playoffs since before the Chin hit puberty.

LT played well but if it wasn't for a fake punt and a defender slipping a split second before LT hit the hole on that 85 yard run he doesn't score. As shown tonight, if you take away Gates you take away Rivers. They are a two man show if you take one out and contain the other - you take away their offense. I don't care who you have, if 68% of your offense is produced by two people over the course of an entire season, come playoff time you will lose.

The same could have been said about Marshall Faulk and the 2001 Rams. How'd that turn out?

Big difference. Cowher had been to a SB before last year. Furthermore, the officials gave him and the Steelers the win over Seattle. I personally hope I'm able to watch when the Chargers finally blow up. It will be the most spectacular of Marty's post season debacles.

The death march by the way is for the chiefs, who are all but done in the playoff chase...

Yep, their WR aren't a whole lot better than ours IMO. Do I like Gates and Tomlinson more than Watson, Graham, Dillon and Maroney ? Sure. But when you factor in Brady plus I think our defense is better once Vince and Rodney are back, we'll give them a good run for their money - especially as we have a very strong run defense. And Football Outsiders' stats says we're #3 in the league defending TE.
