Never have I seen a rookie wideout so hyped as in these Forum pages. Facing a wide open opportunity to show his stuff and to contribute something after being called out by two team captains, Chad "The Stump" Jackson contributed nothing yet again today.
Sad to say Belioli has a bad track record with their recent #2 picks. Marquis "Game Inactive" Hill, Bethel "Deep Fly ONLY" Johnson, and now Chad "Can't Catch The Deep Fly" Jackson. He even spread the can't catch the long ball disease to other harder working wideouts.
With free agency, cuts and every other opportunity this waste of a #2 pick gets TIGHT every time he's on the field and fails to pull his weight. Sure he's a rookie but face it he's had MONTHS of team meetings, coaching and whatever and still he fails to contribute to the 53.
It's obvious that like with Gabriel, Tom Brady wastes no valuable seconds in the pocket searching for whatever sector of the galaxy Chad Jackson has cluelessly wandered into. Sad, given the lack of talent in the veteran wideout competition in this year's squad. All size, speed and physique, but not a player above the neck.

Deion Branch. Matt Light. Eugene Wilson. Believe it or not, a .500 average isn't too bad in the second round.
And, yes, Jackson is a FIRST YEAR bust. That doesn't make him a bust, though, not even close.
Re: Results Are In, Chad Jackson Is A 1st Year Bust!
Well, if you mean strictly by 1ST YEAR.. then yeah, can't argue with that. But like I've said repeatedly before, you shouldn't expect much from a rookie WR. If he's still Mr. Invisible this point next season, then yes, you could be looking at a real bust. But this is his first year, let's cut him some slack.
Re: Results Are In, Chad Jackson Is A 1st Year Bust!
Oh god...
Now I am not saying Belichick is doing the wrong thing not playing him but come on, how can he be a bust after one season? Consider this...
Jackson has been injured a lot. Missed quite a lot of games.
Hasnt gotten much playing time if any in plenty of the games he was active.
When he did play the ball was rarely, rarely thrown to him. When it was I saw some good things. In the Jets game he dropped one pass then made a superb catch, followed by a 20 yard TD catch. Against Buffalo he got a TD on a nice throw by Brady, nice long pass. Against Minnesota, he made a great TD scramble after the catch. Brady also threw to him late in the fourth and Jackson made a good catch for 30 yards which was called back for some BS penalty. Against the Bears he slowed down, sure. But all WR's make a mistake and Chad is a 21 year old rookie.
I havent seen him given much of a chance aside from a few occasions which he has been thrown to.
Oh and I think Jackson will crack the starting lineup next year considering this...
Troy Brown retires.
We dont sign a huge free agent name at WR.
Jackson stays healthy and has a good TC and Preseason.
Look at our WR's...
Caldwell, obviously our best right now.
Troy Brown, old, decent but was dissapointing today with dropped passes, he shouldnt be a starter still, he is 36...
Gaffney, too many dropped catches, certainly not starting material.
Kight, no no no.
Jackson, hasnt been given much of a chance. Let him show his stuff and see if he is the man to be with Caldwell as a starter.
Re: Results Are In, Chad Jackson Is A 1st Year Bust!
What perverse possibly sexual attraction does this consistent non-contributor have to fans of the Forum?
It's obvious that he stacks up poorly compared to other wideouts taken in this their 1st year. Would that we had New Orleans' 7th round pick at WR. Hint: that's not complementary to Jackson.
If another Patriot contributed so little relative to the hype and # of threads posted HERE about Jackson folks would be up in arms.
Why does Jackson get a free pass? Excuse du jour?
{Insert numerous meaningless stats about a few fine wideouts' 1st years, while neglecting the vast preponderance of other WR BUSTS with CJ type stats}
Remember, Tom Brady is his QB. You know, the guy known as the QB "whose favorite receiver is the open man", which is obviously not Jackson. Hmmmm!
Why is Brady calling out newbies to "do what the coaches tell them?"
Why is Brady NOT throwing to Jackson?
It's not like Brady has too many skilled alternatives.
Think before you respond.

Re: Results Are In, Chad Jackson Is A 1st Year Bust!
Tom Brady isn't not throwing to Chad Jackson. He's been injured and when he plays, they are limiting him to running plays right now.
The reason there are so many threads about Jackson is b/c there are so many people like you are are trying to put him down. Dave Thomas hadn't done anything until today really, you didn't see people whining about his lack of production. Garret Mills isn't contributing at all this season, no one seems to have a problem with that. The fact is, BB does not concern himself with a player's stats, when they were drafted, whether they are contributing as much as fans had hoped, etc., etc. He'll use his players as he sees fit.
I'll start worrying about Chad Jackson when BB starts to seem worried about Chad Jackson. For now, I'll remain optimistic and hopeful that he will be a great player.
