I dont know about anyone else, but to me it so obvious when rodney is out of the line up. Not only by the way the opposing teams test, but just how weak and unorganized they are. Its like trying to bake bread and forgetting to put in the yeast, with rodney missing. Everytime im watching the game and the opposing quaterback lets go of the ball, im on the edge of my seat. I just dont have much faith in the corners without rodney being back there to help back them up.

You gotta give props to Hawk, James Sanders, Chad Scott and anyone else who has contributed while he's been out, but ultimately, yes, there's no way you can truly replace Rodney.
Rodney coming back healthy by playoff time might be the key to our season.
Yeah I totally agree with you nem. our pass rush has been weak at times and do agree that would help our secondary. About ellis hobbs i really dont feel comfortable with him at all, at times his coverage is good, but when it is he seems to get called on pass interference a lot. I like samuel, hes intense he steps up big with crushing hits at times, and all importantly he comes up with ints. I dont think hobbs has one int, does he? Sometimes i think id rather have randll gay playing for ellis hobbs.
Hard to get those INT's with one hand in a cast. Gay's on IR. Hopefully, Mickens is still quick enough to play nickle. That would be big.

``The officials now are evaluating the players and their performance, I mean, that's great,'' Belichick deadpanned. ``I can't say how much that means to me, really.''
I think our secondary has played rather well. Well have only given up 8 receiving TDs and they have 16 INTs. It has been bend but don't break.
Agree. Given all the injuries and different combos, you'd think pats fans would be more grateful for a secondary that helps hold opponents under 20 ppg.

And I'll agree with you two guys. Of course we miss Rodney, but I'm happy as hell to have Hawkins and Chad Scott when he's not available.
Asante's playing great and Hobbs is playing well with a cast.
I think Sander's has stepped up too. At least I haven't seen any missteps.
I don't think we generate much of a pass rush until the fourth quarter and where do we rank in points allowed?
I didn't look it up, but aren't we one of the best?

Overall I have been satisfied with the secondary, they are performing much better than last year (the D.Starks era). I think Harrison will help out a lot in run defense and the overall physical nature of the defense but don't expect to see a big difference in pass coverage.
The Pats are playing a lot of man on man because the pressure up front is inconsistent when they don't blitz. They have blitzed a lot this year leaving the CBs without much protection, at least they are getting beat for 20 yards instead of 70 yards like last year.
