Default What should the Patriots do with Watson

With all of his fumbles lately there are many on this board very unhappy with him.

What should be done with him?

EDIT: Had a poll but the system wouldn't let me post it because I must have taken 5 mins and 1 sec to set it up.

Stick with him, we have no choice. I feel the same about Gabriel too.

He should be cut, should have been last week.

And Brady should be cut too, to show each and every player that nobody is above good ball security. Think about it, if Brady gets the axe everyone else will be too scared to fumble.

Maybe borrow some of the gunk that Lester Hayes and Belitnikoff used to use in Oakland

I co-sign the above, with the addendum that every football that is fumbled should be drawn, quartered, and set on a pike, as a lesson to the others.

They should keep throwing the ball to him.

A lot.

Because he's one of the few Pats receivers who can consistently get open for more than a 4 yard reception.

3 fumbles in 3 games, coming after 1 fumble in 26 games, is not proof of a fumbling problem in the slightest. It could simply be random grouping. Sure, it is a potentially worrisome situation, and something to monitor over the next few games, but that's it.

Furthermore, he's a young player. He's shown great work ethic and coachability so far, and has really improved his hands this year. If he is developing a fumbling problem, there's no reason to think it can't be coached.

Coaching should help him adhust where he holds the ball and he should start protecting the ball with two hands.
