Default Shotgun vs under center

It was clear that the Jets had a great pass rush today. It was also fairly obvious that Brady could not keep his feet when dropping back (a major reason for some of the incompletions and making some catches harder than they had to be).

IMO, they should have gone to the shotgun a series or two sooner. The Pats hadn't really moved the ball at all in the second half and tv replay reinforced that Brady was slipping on his plant and on his follow through. When they went to the shotgun, Brady was much more effective.

in-explicably they seem to do that mostly when they are down by 2 scores at the end of the game

No shotgun.

Yes they did

No NO huddle offense.

Yes they did

No I formation.

No Play action.

Yes they did

No screen passes to the backs.

Yes they did

No slant passes.

Yes they did

No Crossings.

Yes they did

No post patterns.

Yes they did

No trick plays

No WR reverses

No pullling guards

Yes they did

No bootlegs

No roll outs

Not designed it appears but yes they did

I guess the problem is that most of the aforementioned are on page two of "The Idiots Guide To Becoming an Offensive Coordinator in the NFL"

Rumor has it that Josh is still on page one.

McDaniels is killling this team.

Really? None of those? Really?? Did you watch the game? THEY DID DO several of those things....I'm also glad that you know all the routes the receivers ran every play even though the TV doesn't show all of the receivers and thier routes.
