They can run, they’re good, they’re physical. They just have to eliminate mistakes, and they had some of those. They had some missed tackles. The key is staying healthy up front. If the defensive line doesn’t stay healthy up front, then young DBs will be exposed.”

Wheatley has been pretty good. If he stays healthy, he might overtake Wilhite.

I agree completely. Everything I've read thus far suggests that he is playing very well in camp and had a good showing in the preseason opener. I will continue to watch his development very closely.

He already has done so. He always had talent; he just needed to get health and show it.

Although I agree with Wilcots, I would like someone with a little more credibility to say this. I hate him as an analyst.

I agree that Wheatley is more talented, but not convinced he's passed Wilhite just yet. It's one pre-season game, and even when healthy last season, Wheatley often sat or played special teams.

Wilhite has sucked a lot, but he's also played a lot. Wheatley's still very much an unknown. I'd love to see him overtake Wilhite though, and I'm hoping he does.
