I'll admit, I read this quick and assumed it was just another "we signed who? this is stupid!" thread and was about to jump on you... then I read closer and chuckled.

Stapleton is very intriguing. He started at RG for the Steelers during there last SB season. Was IR'd last 8/31. Supposedly he is 100% healthy.

Darnell Stapleton

From Scouts:

....he is tenacious and didn't back down from any challenge. He has good initial quickness and gets off the ball low. Stapleton can get to the second level effectively and is athletic enough to long pull.

Stapelton seems to be the bigger deal because of our need for bodies at LG, but does anyone know anything about Willingham? Any potential there or another camp fodder / shadow roster type of deal?

"He’s the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. He goes from being a rookie that nobody is expecting anything from, to taking over with people saying he can’t do it, to winning three Super Bowls....It should already be obvious he’s the greatest quarterback to ever have played. "

If healthy, it adds another body to the mix at least. The more people we have competing, the more likely it is we find a suitable player. And that's all we really need, with four solid starters at the other OL positions, we just need someone who's not a disaster at LG.
