I'll bite. It's a Sunday morning and there isn't anything else to do.

Yes, he will make the team- as an Inside Linebacker. He has the size, the reads (he's played offence all these years), is tough and fills a hole (understatement). He will have running backs and guards laughing so hard at his presence that they will forget to block him. He will belly flop runners to the floor.

Poor Gorin. Isn't there anybody who'll state his case as to why he will stay?

Well, if Gorin doesn't make the team that would leave you with only 2 OT. That's pretty unlikely. Or Roehl or Britt would have to beat him out - and that seems fairly unlikely. O'Callaghan was a DT in college but is unlikely to be anything but a OG in the NFL - probably not even a swing player.

Another low odds possibility would be for Mankins to switch to OT - but that does seem unlikely.

Mruczkowski and Roehl are going to have a hard time making the team unless they carry 9 OL and Dan Stevenson doesn't make it.

Gorin was our starting RT. He is a solid, experienced backup at RT and LT. This game-day role is not going to be trusted to Britt or Roehl, neither of which is likely to make the team.

I have absolutely no problem with having two veterans as our Game Day backups: Hochstein and Gorin.

The fact that he is our second or third choice at LT makes him valuable. I just hope he is a back up all year for a change.
