Nothing too new or earth shaking but, hey, it's a football piece in a local paper.

I think that was a fair assement of the top contenders.
Not much has changed for them. If the Patriots rookies perform
as expected I would say PATs have gain ground on all of them.

Cincy seems to have made themselves better despite the turds they collected in Nicholson and Rucker and Henry, but you have to wonder if that isn't already undercutting their hopes with Henry and Nicholson both in trouble already.

The only thing working for Indy is Jacksonville going on a turd hunt too, Tennessee and Houston will not put much pressure on Indy, so Jax has the bets shot, but it seems that they are aiming awful close to their own feet.

Baltimore seems to be the only hope to really upset Pittsburg, that and Pitt going on a me-a-thon with Ward and Porter setting the standard.

Question Schedule review...

Please compare the Patriots schedule this year and the Colts. i know that you cannot and should not just run down a schedule and say ... win, win, loss, tossup, but the Pats will be prohibitive favorites in nine games.

The Colts will be prohibitive favorites in only in three.

The balance will be tough games. Good clubs win about 50% of these balanced contests. Belichick's record however is astonishingly good against top clubs. Nevertheless using the guidelines, the Pats should win 3 or 4 of the remaining 7 contests giving them a record of 12 or 13 victories. The Colts on the other hand using the guidelines, will likely win 6 or 7 of the balance to go with their 3 easy wins. Projected gives them a 9 or 10 win season. But I think they are much weaker than that, while their division has gotten a lot better.

The Titans are righting themselves and Jax won 12 games with youngsters last year. I think Jax passes them and the Colts finish at or below .500.

Thirteen victories ought to get the Pats HFA throughout the playoffs.

Getting to the Tournament as Parcels has said, is more then half the battle...

I believe the Jags will beat Indy at least once this season. Of course, I said that last year and lost money... :-D

Hines Ward's been whinnying about feeling disrespected since the team drafted Holmes.
That's inaccurate.
I also don't see how the Bengals are much improved. Just cause Sam Adams?

You are correct. Ward has actually been whiny since the team drafted Plaxico.
