Bills DE Schobel leaning toward not playing - Boston.com

I know 2 players on the Patriots who will be happy about this.. Brady and Light. I wonder if they can pool their resources and ensure that Schoebel doesn't play this year.. Would be nice not to face him..

If he does, the Bills are looking great for next season

Sounds like a guy desperate to get out of Buffalo.

I imagine he wouldn't be contemplating retirement if he was on the Patriots, for instance.

Well, he supposedly doesn't want to play in a 3-4, so yeah... he probably would.

He's always been a good player for Buffalo (not just against the Pats.) I'll admit as a Pats fan I wouldn't mind not having to see him twice this year. Maybe the Bills can find a 4-3 team that could use him where he'd be happy. Let's see ... Pats don't play Tampa Bay for three more years, and he might enjoy the warm weather in a state with no income tax; that sounds like a win-win to me.

You got that right; Schoebel nearly won the Opening night game all by himself.
