Maybe after the fiasco (losing Brady), BB decides he rather focus on coaching than be the guy in charge of everything.
I agree with your comment 100%. I always said as much as i like BB, Brady is the reason Im a die hard fan. I was always "a fan" But when Brady took over, he became the reason I live and die for this team. If Brady went some place else to finish his career I would follow him to that said team and become a fan just because I idolize TB12. When he retires I may never be a die hard for this team again. He just came and changed New England and made us proud to be a Pat's fan. Im a Brady fan 1st and a Pats fan 2nd.

I'll root for the laundry. I've been doing it since '73. If Brady leaves (and he won't) he'd be dead to me, same way Vinatraitor is.

This is usually the time every offseason when the media speculates on some disharmony between Brady and the Pats. It's like clockwork.

If Brady goes its because the Pats trade him or whatever it may be at the time. If they do that then im following Brady. You can all stick up for Kraft all you want but bottom line, He IS getting F'N cheap. He better pay Brady what he wants before he trys and keep Moss. To me it seems he would think about doing that. Picture them giving Moss a new deal over Brady. It would be the end for the Pats.

I think everyone needs to calm down. Paying a guy a ton of money isn't as easy as everyone makes it out to be, and they're going to find a way to get it done. However it's going to have to be on their terms - and it's going to have to fit the pay structure that allows other deals to get done.

Look at the Colts. We've already heard how the GM is going to make Manning the highest paid QB in the league and how gung-ho they were to get it done, but it's been over a month and Manning is still sitting there without a contract with no signs of it happening in the near future.

I hate to say it, but the fact there is no CBA is a bigger deal than people realize - especially when it comes to these larger contracts. In case no one has noticed there's not a lot of them being done right now, and everyone is going to need to be patient before you decide to start looking at the worst case scenarios.

Needless to say let's try and keep this all in perspective. As I recall the last deal he got came out of no where, so let's not let speculation in the media fuel a lot of conversations that are going to lead to comments many of you could end up regret making when this is finally resolved.

All your points are good and valid. We need to calm down. Just a sore subject.

I guess all this contract talk is why Tom's sitting out of the OTAs. Oh wait, he's not.

Anyways, I'd rather finish out this contract and sign the last big contract I'd ever get, seeing as he's getting close to that point in his career where retirement is much closer than his rookie season.

I think before you get destroyed by the veterans in here that you go back and review some of the statements regarding that topic. This team spends close to the salary cap each year, and also gives the dollars to the guys they know make the most impact and give them the best chance to win. That's why you saw Wilfork eventually get a deal, and also why you'll see Brady get his - although it may come at the expense of Mankins should it come down to that. Moss over Brady isn't a possibility - they've won with lesser guys so there's no point there in making him a priority.

My feeling is that Brady and Belichick each have equal amount of time left, and they'll both probably leave this team around the same time. So again - be prepared to wait - because it's going to take time, and I honestly believe they'll find a way to get it done.
