I can think of a lot of other players who I'd give an eye roll, sarcastic remark, or blank stare to--other than Shawn Crable. Guys who have screwed us over, guys who have had horrible attitudes, and guys who just couldn't grasp the system.
It's nothing more than an unfortunate situation, in my opinion. I am quite sure he didn't get hurt 2 yrs in a row 'on purpose,' just to stick it to us fans.
I know I'm in the minority here, but I really don't feel that Shawn Crable 'owes' us much of anything. I would bet that he has been very disappointed too.
It's one of the unfortunate gambles on selecting a 21 yr old kid with zero NFL experience. You can only properly assess his talent, and how he compares to other players IF he stays healthy. I personally don't feel that Belichick will just dump him to the curb until he gets a very good look at his work ethic, skill set, and playmaking ability. The only way I'd be mad is if he were taking up a valuable roster spot, and not giving his all out there.
The funny thing is that most of the 'experts' on this forum will be jumping right on the bandwagon if he shows any ability at all.

It's a gamble to draft a 21 year old kid with ZERO NFL experience?
What College kid....."with NFL Experience" should we have drafted?........Jim Thorpe?

granted.......however,he's backing up his point by implying that it was a mistake to draft Crable, because he had no NFL experience to judge him by.......conveluted and bizarre.

How about potential bad joke. At this point he is on the wrong side of having a good career but he'll get a pass until he can show up on the field.

No one's implying that it was a mistake to draft Crable, so whatever way that you 'mis-interpreted' the statement is wrong.
I said that it's always a gamble drafting kids in their young 20's without any college experience---just like jsull87 suggested.
Why would I have thought it was a mistake to draft Crable when I just spent 5 sentences backing him up?
Sometimes the answer is in the context, as usual you are quite lost.

Excellent, excellent post. And a refreshing perspective.
I've discussed my take on Crable on the main Crable thread, so I won't repeat myself, here.
