Breer, Gasper, all of these guys have lost their minds.

Reiss seems like the only one with a level head left. But his work seems really watered down as of late, although I do enjoy his weekly mailbags.

Breer had a story. He was at least partly correct. There is a claim that he was wrong about there being more than one failed test, so he went back and got more sources to verify/contradict first article, and he's gotten further verification as a result.


That's actually good work on Breer's part.

His "sources" are all second hand. Other teams. He has no sources that have direct information.

Breer's all pissy because he jumped in the pool of ripping the '10 draft after just one pick.

yeah...wow...you're right...he didn't have enough "unnamed sources" to back up his fairy story, so he invented two more...and YOU applaud him for it...so I guess you're calling the kid who's accused a liar and HIS statement a prevarification. This is the problem with journalism in general today, not just Breer. There is such a rush to get the story out before you are scooped, you don't dot all your "I"s and cross all your "T"s. Breer obviously didn't have the whole story when he ran it, but he wouldn't be the first reporter to do this and certainly won't be the last.

I do think many in the media have gone overboard in their criticism of this offseason (granted many of them went overboard in worshiping at the alter of Belichick in prior years). I think Breer falls into that category, but getting this story wrong and going overboard are unrelated in my mind.
