I spoke with an old friend in Tampa, who is a Gator alum, knows Meyer personally and is a total football fanatic. He says out of all our picks, he thinks Hernandez will be the most impressive in the NFL. I was pleasantly surprised to hear this. FWIW.

Ask him what he said to BB with regard to Chad Jackson.

It's probably just me but the way that kid extends for the ball, runs tough and wears a giant helmet...it reminds me of Tony Gonzales. Another TE with a spanish last name. Sure it's a stretch...but c'mon!

Love that both Gronk and Hernandez are very happy to be playing for us.

Chad Jackson.

Man, I thought that kid was a lock to be at least a productive NFL reciever.

We all did. The story about how BB and JMcD going through plays with him during the combine and coming away impressed with his football knowledge guaranteed it in many eyes.

I think the ACL injury in the 06 AFCC pushed him back some. Other than that, his rookie year was unspectatular, but not a complete disaster. Then he goes on PUP in 07 and does nothing.

The consensus was that the kid didn't put the work in (as opposed to being not football smart). He hooks on with Denver last year and had a catch- but was not brought back. Lets see how he does with the Bills this year.
