Bob Kraft & Tom Brady Take Trip To Israel

CBS4) ISRAEL Patriots owner Bob Kraft and quarterback Tom Brady are on an 8 day trip in Israel.

Kraft, his wife Myra, and Brady are part of the Combined Jewish Philanthropies contingent that's making a number of stops through Israel.

Brady threw out the first ball prior to two American Football in Israel exhibition games at Kraft Stadium on Thursday.

Combined Jewish Philanthropies of Greater Boston, which is chaired by Myra Kraft, is the central planning and fundraising arm of Boston's Jewish community.

CBS4 Anchor Sara Underwood was also invited on the Israel trip, as were Sovereign Bank President and CEO Joe Campanelli, and Regan Communications President George Regan.

Israel/Palestine is holy to Christians too. This has more to do with Tom's celebrity than religion (after all, meeting the Pope was one of the greatest moments of his life).

As a note, Israel outside of the West Bank and Gaza Strip isn't the warzone it's portrayed as. He has about the same chance of dying in a car crash in the Boston metro area (probably greater, the way people drive around here) than in a terror attack in Israel. Something tells me Palestinian terrorists wouldn't attack an American celebrity, especially a Roman Catholic one. That would be expanding the conflict, which tends not to be the goal of an organization like that. Yeah, I know, politics in the Patriots board, but at least its on topic. I don't think Tom has much to worry about.

I see this as more concrete evidence of the World Zionist Conspiracy (In League with the Aliens and Illuminati) to convert good Catholics to extreme Zionism. Witness, for example, the way that I (a lapsed, half Irish Catholic) am living with a half Jewish woman. I know I mention it a lot, but that is what allows me to be a thorn in the side of Kraft, Mossad (probably the same thing), Josh Miller, Patjew, Shmessy.....

It is why I insist on eating a Pork Pie on the way to Miss Gcat's parents. It is the only way we (very lapsed and basically atheist) Catholics can fight back!

Roll on the draft/Free Agency. I'm bored.

1) Our favorite stadium chant is "Get that Quarter.....back!"

2) In the 1980's those of us New England tribal members were jonesing for the Sullivans to deal for Herschel Walker to team up with Moisi Tatupu so that the Pats would have "the Moishy and Heschy" backfield.

Man, that's a turbulent place to be traveling to. Let's hope for their safety.
