Default Reggie Bush as a Patriot?

The Saints are going to have to make a big decision after the superbowl about him. He is due 8 million or so next year. I know that he has not lived up to the hype coming out of college as the next great back of all time, but I think his skillset would be perfect for the offense that the Patriots run. He is an excellent special teams player first and foremost, and the patriots flat out sucked on returns last year.
For the Patriots, he would not be asked to be the everydown feature back. I know that was what his role ended up being in new orleans as well, but here I think he would be given a few more carries and could really be a threat in the passing game. He would almost be the bridge between Maroney-or whomever is the 1st back on this team, and faulk. Come next year he takes over faulks role full time.

Thoughts?

During the NFC championship game I thought about posting somewhere that

"I loved Bush as a Trojan but he irritates me in the NFL"

I can't put my finger on why exactly but there is something about him. On another note though he seems to be like a Kevin Faulk sort of hybrid. He isn't a great RB but he can catch out of the backfield and he has speed

I don't know why we would need another kevin faulk though

I wouldn't be interested in him, his name is a lot bigger than he is as a player, and he'd probably cost way too much. I'd much rather dump Maroney and sign Leon Washington, and keep Taylor, Faulk, Morris, and Law Firm.

I was shocked to see Reggie Bush's 'new' running style in the playoffs.

Then I found out he will net an extra $500,000 if the Saints win the Super Bowl, and pocketed $300,000 and $500,000 for the first two playoff wins.

I find it hard to respect a guy who only plays hard when he wants a bonus payment.

Maybe that's not the case, but the guy sure seemed afraid of contact over his first 3 seasons.

no i would not want him. he has one good game out of every 5 he plays and is a none factor in all the other game he plays in. he is kevin faulk, thats not bad i just don't wanna pay a 3rd down back. five million a year. when the pats need a power back that can get 300+ att a season.

Looking how the Pats treat their RB's, I don't see why any free agent RB would want to come to New England.

Aside from Morris and Taylor you mean... two RBs who came to New England. What exactly do they do to the RBs that is so appalling?

Law Firm sucks and if they go for Leon Washington, Morris will be dumped.

I like Bush, but not at the money he's getting which is ridiculous. Go for someone else. I'm sure they are looking at possible trades for running backs in the league.

There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone.

Yeah what kind of mean football team has their running backs run directly into harm's way with a football.

Why is that

I thought when Morris was healthy he ran hard and did a pretty good job
