Default Best wishes to our Patriot friends from the Saints

I want to wish you guys well earlier, but us Saints are probably the experts in the NFL at what you are feeling right now, and I knew you guys needed some time.

You lost, at least we finally have something in common !!!!!!!!!!!

WE ALWAYS LOSE ALL THE TIME !

Now seeing you guys winning trophy, after trophy, after trophy, after trophy.. what ever, is knowing your Patriots are experts at holding , if not bored with getting the Lombardi.

But now you have entered the Saints area of expertise, ..well minus making the playoffs at all ( cause we could never get that together ), oh and probably we would be 3-13 at the end of the season, but you get my point!

Don't watch the hole movie, but look at the first 2-3 mins, that was our 1st shot for a championship for the Saints and after a miracle play to get 6, our kicker missed the extra point,

That Sir and Madam is the New Orleans Saints, we love them and support the boys, but Please. The chance that the Saints, ever, would even be in the Big show, ever, no.
We have been saying this is the year for 43 years.

We did learn something along the way.. and it is much more important

What we learned is pretty simple, and ya we are a simple people in N.O.,

I had a blast when we played, wither we won or lost!

I would have rather lost and had that day,,, than won every Lombardi.

Don't fret to much New England, Your coach is almost a legend, you made the playoffs with rookies and your starters injured , and you have a QB of fine character. And next year you will have another great chance.

and next year we will be the aints.. and I’m fine with that.

Heres to next season, you know were going to make it this time so watch out .. The Saints are coming.

Really all the best to you guys

Best of luck to the Saints. I'll be rooting for them. I am in New Orleans frequently for work, and have a million friends down there. It's safe to say that you will be the most rooted for team. Thanks for stopping in.

Nice to have you back. Good luck against Arizona tomorrow, and hope you go all the way. I've been rooting for you:

Poll: Who are you rooting for? (see post #3)

This clearly wasn't our year. Up to the Saints game this team teased us with the possibility of being an elite team, but it became clear from that point on that this team had bigger issues than we have been used to seeing from a BB team late in the season. I really didn't expect us to be able to do much in the playoffs, and I think that the blowout loss to the Ravens may help make it easier to make some major changes in the offseason. You guys were 8-8 last year, but made some key moves in both the coaching staff (Greg Williams) and personnel (Sharper, Grier) to take it up a notch.

Anyway, kick some butt in the NFC. I'd particularly like to see you beat any of the 4 remaining AFC teams in the SB.

Just because a team did something in the past, that's no guarantee it will happen again. It was only this decade that the Pats finally won a home playoff game for the first time. Then last week it was the first time that the Pats ever lost a home playoff game with Brady at QB.

It's not just the Pats or Saints either. Look at your division rivals in Tampa Bay. Losingest team in football, they won the Super Bowl a few years ago, and along the way kept announcers from repeating 'have never won when the temperature was below 32'. For your sake, maybe you can get them to stop repeating 'no team that has lost to the Bucs has gone on to win the Super Bowl that year'.

All these streaks and past history are meaningless; it's how the two teams perform that day that counts.

Good luck this weekend, this game should be a good one.

There's a first time for everything, and I'm hoping this is your time.

Plus, you've got a good foundation going forward. Let the good times roll.

Hope to see you in next years SB.
