Pats’ Brady has surgery
By Lenny Megliola/ MetroWest Daily News
Wednesday, February 22, 2006 - Updated: 01:10 AM EST

Patriots QB Tom Brady had hernia surgery in Boston last week, according to a source familiar with the situation.

On doctor’s orders, Brady passed up the Pro Bowl due to the injury. However, he did participate in the Dan Marino Foundation golf tournament yesterday at La Gorce CC in Miami. He can expect a 6-8 week healing period.

Brady’s injury, according to doctors, could have occurred by lifting weights or on the playing field. A hernia is usually taken care of in one of two ways, one involving a three-inch incision, the other by making three small holes in the groin area.

He did say that he has to shorten his swing on drives.

He also said that the injury did not effect his play. I don't believe that for one second.

Me either, but that's what makes him (imo) the best QB in the game! He doesn't look for excuses, just does his best and rasies his game!
