If so, why isn't that bid listed on his auction? Interesting how the ball has the letter "K" stenciled on it twice, apparently designating it for the kicking game. I'm wondering what that squiggly black line is near the nose in one photo, looks like it was from a magic marker. He's already got a bid of $25k it appears. You'd think Flutie would want the thing.

That line on the nose is made before the game by the refs.

I got that from watching Totally Patriots

This doesn't make sense. The whole thing was that the refs didn't think (no one did) that they were kicking the extra point---hence the reason they didn't put up the net and that knucklehead got the ball. If they didn't bother to put up the net, why would they bother to switch the ball?

Just wondering!

They probably switch in the kicking ball on every P.A.T. Just my guess. The nets are controlled by stadium workers, who didn't see Vinatieri out there.
