Default So what do you think of Hoyer?

So ... to the students and teachers of the game here.

What do you think of Hoyer?

Would have been nice to see more of him ... seems like he has a lively arm.

Did he show anything in the having some touch and awareness departments?

Did you see anything in that small sample that intrigues you?

He was pretty sharp- good arm and accuracy, good footwork, mechanism and reads. The only downside to his game is mostly a matter of timing with his receivers, since as you saw he overshot Edelman at least twice. He has to allow for those receivers coming out of their breaks clean.

I personally thought he would have tied the game if Neal didn't bite on that Williams dropback fake and strongside rush and get flagged for that game killer of a hold.

This kid has poise and agility. He also follows the company line.

I think this is the best backup QB we've had in a long time.

Agree with the rest of your post besides the bolded part. Brady was our best back-up.

If he's the best then let's trade him for the #34th pick in the draft ASAP.

I would say that 8 years is a long time.

It's an eternity in this league.

IDK, I like having a competent backup in case Brady goes down.

In all honesty, I do believe he is better than Cassel.

To my untrained eye, he just has an "it" quality... a type of decisiveness/confidence that resembles part of Brady's game. Now understand I'm not going to get ahead of myself, it was a small sample size. And at first glance, he does look better than Cassel.

Possibly. Let's hope we never find out however. The only way we'll really know is if the franchise QB is done for the year (again).
