Did we get by the Bengals for the third seed? We are tied for conference record and against common opponents the Bengals are 2-2 with a game against the Jets scheduled and the Patriots are 2-2 with the Texans coming up. What's the next scenario after that? I can't believe that I might have to root for the Jets two weeks in a row.
right now we are in the #3 spot. as you stated we are both 2-2 in common games. we then go to Strength of victory and we have 53 opponents wins (Buf (2) - 5, Mia - 7, NJY - 7, Tenn - 7, Atl - 7, Bal - 8, TB - 2!, Car - 5 (stilling playing MN now) and Cinn has 51 opponents wins (Pitt (2) - 7, Bal (2) - 8, GB - 9, Cle (2) - 3, chi - 5, det - 2. we just gotta hope our opponents who we beat keep winning.

In the end, it doesn't matter much whether we play Indy first or San Diego first. It is very likely that to go to the Super Bowl, we will need to beat them both, after first beating Denver or Miami.

With the overall health of this team and the way it's been playing, quite frankly EVERY game is a concern.

If the Pats win next week, we may have 2005 senerio on our hands.. that year, the pats played the dolphins, the last game of the season... if they win, they would be the third seed, and host the steelers... Matt Cassel was playing , they had a chance to tie the game, but cassel threw a duck, and the pats were the 4th seed against Jax... They may decide to rest and play for seeding against houston... and would be good to get Brady some rest..

Going to Indy and then to San Diego is a better travel pattern than going to San Diego and then Indy. The Chargers play a more physical game than the Colts as well, which leaves more bumps and bruises.

Probably, but the premise of this thread just seems silly with the team playing as they are right now. Unless Brady heals up quickly and returns to form by the first round, I wouldn't feel too confident against Tenn, Pit, Den, MIA, or Balt, let alone AT SD or IND.

you beat me too it . . . I do feel to this day that BB threw that game so as to avoid the #6 seed steelers and he was correct. perhaps we could of beat them and if the #3 bengals won, we would of gone to Indy for the div round and cin to den and perhaps 05 is different
funny this year is shaping up like '06, we may have to go to SD for the div round then to indy for the AFCCG. I would rather switch that around and go to indy in the div, then travel to SD. also i think SD is a tougher match for us so would rather play indy and the refs in indy.
Lots of people here are worried about SD or IND. How bout wild card weekend? I just wanna face the Broncos. I don't want the Ravens or Steelers--you know those teams are gonna throw for 800 yds on Wilhite.
