Default Worst team to ever be in a Super Bowl

A friend and I were talking about this tonight. I claim that the 1994 San Diego Chargers are by far the worst team to ever be in the title game. Bobby Ross wasn't that great of a coach. Stan Humphries was pretty spare. And their running game of Ronnie Harmon/Natrome Means sucked too.

So what do you all think? Were the Neil O'Donnell 1995 Steelers worse?

1994 Chargers or the 1979 Rams... take your pick.. Stan Humphries was a gamer though... threw a great deep ball

The Steelers were 2 Neil O'Donnel INT's from possibly pulling off a huge upset. The Cowboys were big favorites. That disqualifies that team from being the worst.

It's easy to point to the 1979 Rams b/c they were 9-7 in the regular season. But they too almost pulled off an upset and actually had a lead late in the game. So they're out.

The Chargers are a good guess. I always thought the Falcons team that played the Broncos was pretty poor. Some of the Broncos' Super Bowl teams weren't that special either.

I'll vote on the Chargers based on the fact that they shouldn't have made it there to begin with and then they got absolutley destroyed in the SB.

Conveniently left out of the discussion is the 1985 Patriots.

We would list an Indianapolis Colts team, but you need one to actually make the Super Bowl to be included in the discussion.

Also conveniently left out of the discussion are any Peyton Manning-led Colts teams because they.......................uh, that's right, they haven't been to any Super Bowls! Never mind. HA HA HA HA HA

with a holy roller coach, coke-sniffing WRs and RBs, an all-world OG who says the QB oughta be wearing a skirt, and the owner in deep financial straits. long remembered, not forgotten.
however, a cincinnati bengals team that lost to da jiints, mid 80s also comes to mind. ""ickey shuffle" runnin' around my brain.
