Re: SMY: Moss, Burgess, Guyton, and Thomas sent home Wed after late for 8am meeting
Although RotoWorld says it was likely due to backed up traffic due to the weather . . . does anyone else feel like we're walking on ice that could crack at any minute ? It's just a feeling I get.

In Thomas' case, I think that ice has already begun to crack. In Moss' case, that's pretty much his entire career.
Just further proves Brady and the other vets weren't kidding when they talked (or didn't) about this team needing to fight harder and work harder.

If these guys were sent home for being late today, its bordering on the silly side. With the snow and traffic, sometimes its unavoidable to be a bit late.

This season's team culture is uncharted territory for BB era Patriots teams. More than ever I believe a strong factor in the Sey trade was attitude. Apparently, the leadership and work ethic void left by Harrison and Bruschi's departures is deeper and darker that we'd realized. So far BB's efforts to deal with the situation have been ineffective. I take heart in that he recognized the problem and is working to resolve it. Sometimes even good management can't fix problems quickly. BB can't just change around some players. There needs to be some new, respected leadership in the coaching ranks as well for 2010. I'd kill for a Harrison type attitude and contributor as a 2010 FA. The misfire in signing AD has proven costly in more than dollars.

When Thomas was a healthy scratch for the Titans game.

Yeah, I don't have a name but I would expect to see a Harrison type signing this offseason. We'll see how this plays out over the rest of the season, it could be a jolt that helps or that breaks the ice. Regardless, it needs to be done it seems and sending Moss home is a strong message to everyone.

I have to agree, with you here. I'm all for cracking the whip, but the weather was terrible today kind of a lame way to make an example of people.
