Default We need a 4th quarter pounding back

I actually take away a lot of good things from that game last night. After I took the extra strength ibuprofen cause it felt like someone kicked me in the stomach, I was better.

Volmer looked great, I love that kid. I also like Light, we have good depth there.

The right side however, sorry but send my fellow canuck packing if that level of play continues. Mathis make him look like pop warner, and getting to Brady from the left or right side is still getting to Brady. We need accross the board solid o line play, which most of them did last night.

Brady looked good, and by that I mean Brady good. We should take comfort as a fan base to know that he is almost back to normal, like I hoped he would. He made some great throws last night with great accuracy. I feel real good about Brady.

The point of the post however is that I would love to see a pounding back on this team, like a Dillon, a pounding time chewing back that punishes in the fourth quarter. I will be glad when Morris and Taylor are back.

I am looking on the positives walking away from this one. Sure we may have to go through Indy in Indy, but after what I saw last night, I do indeed like our chances. Give me that pounding back and shore up that D a bit and we are looking good....

Regarding Kaczur, we just re-signed him so I don't think he's being sent anywhere. He would fir better as the #6 OL, though, as he can play RT, LT and was projected by many to be a Guard in the NFL.

Yep, we could have used Sammy the Bull last night. I've been a Maroney fan but, unfortunately, it's not getting done.

I really think we missed Morris and Taylor. They had no faith in Maroney at the end, and ran that stupid draw to Faulk that killed a down on the last drive. But the main issue is the playcalling, it was dreadful in the 4th quarter. If you're going to run in that situation line up like men and punch them in the mouth. Don't run out the friggin shotgun. It might work when the Colts have to defend the downfield pass but not when you're trying to kill the clock.

We gave Manning too many shots bottom line. 3 and outs/4 and out KILLED us

We need another Corey Dillon. We have the picks next year to get one.

True, and that should help.

But no pounding back will help us if we play out of the shotgun exclusively the way we did in the 2nd half. We need to mix it up, use play action, and remain committed to the run. We keep making the mistakes over and over again, with the same results. As Einstein supposedly said, insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

No clue if Taylor will be back, though, other than not being IRed.

We may have to consider Johnson or even take a look at Chris Taylor who's on the PS and looked interesting as a big back in preseason. Morris gets hurt too much to carry the load, we really need him and Taylor.

I'm willing to give Law Firm a shot. Good things happen when he has the ball. Formation is part of the problem. When Brady goes under center with Maroney back 7 yards and Watson motions to the middle, guess what, ITS GOING TO BE A RUNNING PLAY BETWEEN THE GUARD AND TACKLE.

Even the Nashville Pats Fan knows this.

Even though he's not a pounding back I thought Faulk had a great game last night. They did a good job mixing up the plays in the first 3 quarters of the game.
