It does not bother me that they would close the roof even if the weather was perfect if they felt it made the stadium louder. It is their dome and they can do whatever they want with the roof.

The roof will be closed. Otherwise how will they cheat by pumping in crowd noise and then act holier than thou about sideline taping out in the open?
Comparing piping in noise (speculation) to taping other teams' playcalling (proven) is like comparing a suspected jaywalker to a convicted mass murderer. It boggles the mind.
I recall a playoff game several years back where your stadium workers purposely tried (and seemingly succeeded) to sabotage the field against the Colts. That's more comparable to any alleged "piped in" noise, although I'd say hacking up the field is worse and had a far bigger impact on the game.
The signal stealing, on the other hand, is the worst case of cheating I've ever seen in the sports world. Why your franchise was allowed to keep any of its accomplishments I'll never know, but what I do know is that they'll forever be looked at as tainted by every fair-minded person outside of New England.
In other words, the Indianapolis Colts single earned championship is a much bigger deal than the Patriots multiple tainted championships.

You're funny, calling polian a cheater. And btw, polian doesn't change any rules, the committee has to vote on any rules changes. One other thing, don't you realize every team plays by the same rules? I guess you wouldn't know that.
Then there's the brady rule, where if you even look at him wrong, you get flagged. Keep talking chump.
Yeah. If Manning had gotten that hit instead of Brady, it would be the "Manning Rule". Manning gets all the same calls, but don't let facts get in the way of your stupidity. Seriously, out of all the Colts fans that have been here for the past week, you and 4xMVP are two of the biggest idiots out of the bunch.
We'll just see how you guys react when it happens to #18. It's only a matter of time before he suffers a Marino-esque type of season ending injury...

I'm in Indy now and I doubt the roof will be open tonight. It's warm, in the 60s, but overcast. They are saying that the chance of rain will start some where around 6:00. It's around 30 to 40 percent chance of rain. Since there is no drainage under the field if there is a chance of rain, they likely will have it closed.

Piping in crowd noise is worse than stealing signals. In fact, stealing signals is 100% LEGAL in the NFL. What isn't legal is vidieotaping signals. The Pats can have as many personal trying to decifer signals and standing next to Bill O'Brien telling him to signal into Brady what the call is.
Thank you for your ingnorant, misinformed post. Everyone is dumber for reading your drivel.
BTW- This doesn't negate the fact the Polian is a scheming cheater and bully, who changed the game in order to favor his team
Here's a history of NFL rule changes. Notice that the rule change you're subtly alluding to (regarding defenders making contact with receivers more than five yards past the line of scrimmage) isn't listed. Do you know why?
BECAUSE THERE WAS NO RULE CHANGE!
The rule was in place for years, however, for whatever reason it was very loosely called by the refs. The Patriots, being, well, the Patriots (), decided to take advantage of this fact and abused it to the point where the NFL had no choice but to address the situation.
From NBC Sports:
Quote:
The committee didn't change any rules but instructed officials to closely enforce the existing rule prohibiting defenders from impeding receivers more than five yards downfield.
The Patriots only have themselves to blame, not Bill Polian nor anyone else involved with the Colts franchise.

yep.....lots of blame to pass around for using a gameplan that helped win a title.
