Nice little write-up/interview with Butler. Tough not to be excited about this kid.

Butler said his biggest improvement since coming to the NFL has been gaining a better understanding when watching and studying film, which obviously helps with all areas of his game, including play recognition. He’s gotten a huge helping hand from the veterans around him, such as cornerbacks Shawn Springs and Leigh Bodden.

The other veterans -- the guys on the opposite side of the ball -- will help Butler overcome another obstacle Sunday night. With a few A-list football celebrities in his own locker room, Butler won’t be worrying about lining up against one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game.

“I wouldn’t say it’s surreal,” Butler said of playing against Manning. “I kind of get used to it. I came onto a team with Tom Brady and Randy Moss, so I kind of got over that. I’m just ready to go out there and beat him. Obviously, it’s going to be a great challenge. He’s a great quarterback in this league.”

This is what you want to hear from players who aspire to greatness. Greatness starts with imaging yourself in a position of greatness. There is one poster here with a great quote by Montana that great players imagine themselves to be great.

Butler and Chung have been getting major playing time recently.
Meriweather and McGowan are possibly the team's best defenders.

The secondary right now is as good as it's been since 04.

Our secondary will be tested vs the Colts. Let's see how we do. I think we'll gameplan to keep Clark and Wayne under wraps.

Visualizing success is a tool used by many successful people in all lines of work. It isn't either/or, imaging or work and talent, it's both/and. Visualization comes first, however.

-horrible tackler.... its a good thing we have many others who can drop some hurtin bombs on ppl behind the line
