Default Colts' Assault on Pats' Regular Season Win Streak

The Colts have won 15 regular season games in a row with 9 from last year and their 6-0 record this year.

The record is currently held by the Pats with the last 3 from 2006, 16 from 2007, and 2 from 2008 for a total of 21 in a row.

The Pats also hold the better, and more important record of 21 wins in a row of regular season/playoff games since that will include a SB victory...but that record is not in jeapordy since the Colts lost to the Chargers in the playoffs last year.

The Pats do get a chance to stop them in a few weeks, but except for that game and the previous week's game at Baltimore, the schedule isn't that tough with most of their harder games at Indianapolis.

To tie the regular season record:

San Francisco
Houston
Patriots
@ Baltimore
@ Houston
Tennessee

To break it:

Denver

Not a gimme schedule with 3 division games on tap, but I think its either the Pats or Ravens or the Colts will take that record. The Brocos have been the Colt's beotch lately so I really don't give them much of a chance.

Not earth shaking and I'm sure BB isn't worrying about it, but I like every little cherry on top of the Patriot Dynasty cake and don't want to share it, or lose it, to any team. This just gives me another reason to pull against the Colts besides the more important home field advantage for this season.

Note....this is updated with corrected data of 21 regular season wins.....I had initially included 4 wins to finish 2006 instead of the correct 3 wins pointed out by Danny.

This is the least of my concerns right now although I would like us to keep it; keep in mind, Arizona is the only team Indy has played that's .500 or better so we really have no idea how good they are.

I absolutely loath having them gain any sort of standing over the Patriots.

I WILL NOT allow it! Even if I have to go to a Colts game and find someway to run out on the field and grab the hell out of Dallas Clark's butt...errrr...kick him in the shins, or something.

Or I'll just have to get over it if they do, and just be happy the 21 will still belong to the Pats! HA! Take THAT, Pony Boys!

My observations from watching the Colts this year.

1) They still have a stellar passing attack....what else is new.
2) The're running game is so so
3) You can move the ball against that defense

After stating the above....I thought....why are the Colts 6-0 then? Take a look at the pass defenses of the teams they have played. Only Seattle isn't ranked on the very bottom.(16th)NFL Stats: by Team Category Titans, Jaguars, Cardinals, and Rams are on the very bottom

It's simple: The Colts pass the ball as well as anyone. The teams they have played are all at the bottom of pass defense.

I'm not sold. I want to see them play a team with a decent pass defense that can at least slow down that passing attack. While having a decent offense that can keep some drives alive

And don't forget they played the Seahawks with Matt Hasselbeck out. The Colts haven't been tested yet. They have a relatively easy schedule. They are a good team, but they may not be nearly as good as they looked thus far.

The record is actually 21 in a row by the Pats. They won their last three games in 2006.

That streak will end when we come to town (if not sooner against San Fran, who I think can take Indy).

Why write off the Texans ?
They came close last year. They had a useless QB last year.
Things might be different this year.
