Default We need a "BIG" win...

By a BIG win I mean a 34-10 type victory against the Titans. They need a game where they are a little more loose and can experiment on some plays and have TB throw a couple of deep passes knowing he has a 2 TD cushion.

The thing that was the most glaring to me was TB not being able to get the
1st downs when it counted. TB's main strength was to get key 1st downs to continue the possession. Now he looks like Bledsoe. His confidence in himself has gone. Maybe we took it for granted that he was so great. Not sure what the deal is. On so many occasions yesterday the first two plays were running plays....Why?

Other thing is that he used to have a quicker release. Now he takes a little more time which is why he has fumbled a couple of times already. He holds on to the ball a tad bit longer. I used to love watching TB throw on 3rd and 4 type plays because it was pretty much a guarantee that he would get the first down by a quick pass.

If TB was even 75% of his old self - we would have won that game. I love the guy but for the first time in the TB era I would say he lost us the game yesterday. I know our defense was bad but still they gave TB many chances to convert. We got penalties in our favor yesterday but didn't convert. In these types of games I have noticed we always lose. I remember in the SBowl with the Giants - we had a similar penalty that went for us and got a 1st down at around the Giants 40 yard line and got nada (TB went for it on a 4th down).

It is extremely strange to witness this as TB has NEVER been this way. He has lost games in the past - but not like this when he has had so many chances. He needs his swagger back. I still remember in 2007 when we played Pitt and TB threw to Moss I believe, Moss threw it back to him and then TB threw a long TD and then started getting in the face of some CB of the Steelers who was talking smack before the game. Hopefully TB will get it all back but it is very very odd to see him miss those balls to Moss and Welker. I don't have that confidence in him that I used but I sure hope he gets back. Ofcourse his injury has alot to do with it so I think we shouldn't be too hard on him but I think he has spoilt us over the years which is why this is so alien to us.

BTW - even last year do you remember that long pass to Moss against the Chiefs when TB got hit by Pollard. That was a beauty of a throw.

I still think we can win the Division - hopefully Jets lose today will help us out.

Let's just hope that TB gets back "into the groove"......

If by "we" need a big win, you mean the fans, perhaps, but the team simply needs to go out and win the game, and regardless of the margin of victory get to 4-2, then 5-2, then 6-2..........

I agree. The Pats take one game at a time. They don't need to win by 24 points to be focused on the next game. A big win over an 0-5 team isn't all that impressive anyway.

Winning by a lot doesnt make up for a loss. The game is either going to be a W or an L, you cant get a win and a half. You can affect perception, but who really cares because the perception on this board is whacked to begin with.

I know...maybe the title of the topic wasn't correct. I meant to say that they need atleast one big game win for their own self confidence.

My main concern in TB. He is normally money on some of those passes he miossed and looks locked on a couple of receivers without that vision that there are others out there. Man - that one year out of the game really hurt this team. With last year's cupcake schedule - we woudl have romped into the playoffs!

Damn that POLLARD!

Thats assuming the Jets win their next 2 which is far from certain.

I think you are making a big leap trying to get inside their heads and figuring out whether they have or lack confidence, and gussing that pounding an 0-5 team will change that.

Why? So that the masses will respect us again and give us hype like in '07? No thanks, I'll take a 14-13 win and no injuries against the Titans anyday.
