Default Just How Great is Brady?

Well, I wokeup about a half an hour ago to go tuna fishing, and needed some entertainment to enjoy my coffee's to. After seeing the ad for that text message answer service, I decided to look up all the records that he has. It is staggering.

Most consecutive regular season wins.
Most consecutive post season wins.
Most completed super bowl passes.
Highest superbowl completion percentage.
Most career superbowl completions.
Highest completion percentage in a single game.
Highest completion percentage in a single post season game.
Most passing yards, single season.
Most TD passes, single season.

Frankly, I think his most impressive records are the ones closest to the top of the list. Still, it is amazing that a single player can dominate every meaningful quarterback statistic there is. Really puts his greatness in perspective, doesn't it?

Phil Simms has the highest single game SB completion percentage.
Troy Aikman has the highest career SB completion percentage.

Well, so how big is the list now? lol
Imho, had he led a drive at the end of 43, and/or sealed the win against the Dolts in 2006, we wouldn't even have to listen to the name Peyton Manning, or Eli for that matter.

TfB is still the man in my book though.

Brady's greatness and his ticket to Canton come from taking his team to five Conference Championships and winning three of the four SB's they made. Until he had the weapons around him that he was given in 2007, he was not placed in the upper echelon of all time QB's because of his Regular Season, Individual Stats (which is not to say that they aren't impressive).

It will be very interesting to see what kind of career numbers he puts up if he remains healthy and continues to have the likes of Moss and Welker catching his passes. From the latter perspective, it's a damn shame he lost last season and that 2011 is threatened by a strike; that would mean he lost two of his potentially most productive years. I think the argument can be made that with the right talent around him, his career individual numbers would rival Peyton's.
