Default Woke up with a smile

I was thinking back to yesterday and how the Pats dominated a pretty good team in the Falcons. What made me smile is that the Pats were so impressive eventhough both Welker and Mayo were out, Wilfork went down, Brady and his receivers are still not on the same page, and there were some costly mistakes (Galloway going out of bounds on a TD pass) and dropped passes in the red zone.

I look at a lot of the problems and I am encouraged since most of the problems are correctable. Mayo and Welker will be back. So will Wilfork. Brady and his receivers will get on the same page especially with Welker back and Edelman and Galloway taking lesser roles. The red zone problems were mostly mental errors over getting outschemed or out executed. As the defense grows more confident, Pees and Belichick will throw more wrinkles into it.

I love the fact that so many guys on defense are stepping up. TBC, McGowen, Bodden, and Springs are turning into one of the best free agent classes since 2003. So far the additions outweigh the losses.

I am encouraged that this team should be clicking on all cyllanders by midseason.

And on offense, Taylor and Baker aren't bad FA's.

I really think that this year's D will mature into playoff material. And the O will work the sand outa its gears.

Default Re: Woke up with a smile

You woke up? I had trouble sleeping last night. Maybe an hour and a half at the most. I'll be juiced on caffeine today to stay awake. It sucks too because I get out of class at 12:15 and have to be in work at 5:00. Between those time periods, I have to write a 2,000 word paper, then squeeze in time for the gym after I get out of work. Today is going to rough... no thanks to the Pats.

But anyway, you woke up with a smile. If I HAD slept last night, I would have woken up with something else.
