I saw a physical defense wear down a high powered offense.
I saw screens.
I saw Daniel Graham.
The question is, will we see it again?

I didn't see the game as it wasn't broadcast in my area, but those words are music to my ears.
Once Brady fine tunes his mechanics and timing, and Welker comes back, we will always have the deadly passing attack and ability to blitzkrieg opponents at a moment's notice. If we can balance it with a physical running game and varied gameplan (not just TB out of the shotgun with 3 WRs but screens, play action, use of multiple TEs, etc.) and a physical, aggressive defense, then I really can't see any team in the NFL coming close to us.
Big "if"s. But more promising after today's performance.

It was encouraging, but they need to meld it into the regular offense. I think they got carried away with multiple receiver formations to the expense of everything else.
I'd like to see Brady completely comfortable in the pocket, he still isn't. A more varied offense will help with a little more time, effective play action and receivers that have a bit of separation.
It also keeps the passing O in good down and distance situations.
Fred Taylor's not quite Corey Dillon, but he's close. Probably better in some ways at this point of his career.
Young Corey Dillon was just awesome, though. I wish youtube still had his 278 yard game up
Oh, I certainly saw it, especially on the first drive. However, later in the game, when the Pats went to two straight (incomplete) passes in the red zone, I was a bit disenchanted.
But, yes, I was calling for this earlier in the week:
Until Brady and the receivers get back on track, they are going to have to win like they did in the past. I still think the Pats became a high flying offense out of need, not desire. This is the best defense that the Pats have had since 2006.

Good part is, we've got the horses.
Galloway seems to be at the crossroads, though. He either need to step up or step out. It's one thing to be out of synch, but he just doesn't look like he's hustling and that is unacceptable.
I still say, the second best #1 is not necessarily the best #2. Galloway is running routes he's not comfortable with while Moss is running his routes.
Maybe a versatile route runner like Gaffney > than a speed merchant running medium routes.

In that regard, you have to think that it's a great blessing in disguise that Brady is so off with his receivers. It forces them to get back to football basics, not being afraid to grinding it out, and winning it with the D. I hope they stick to this even when Brady gets back on track.
