That was purely an accident. My goal was top ten, but I didn't feel right winning my own contest, so the final week I purposely put in a crazy score, much different than my real prediction. Since they had done so well in bad weather the week before against Arizona, in week 17 I predicted an absurdly low scoring game 6-0. Which was exactly the wrong thing to do, I failed to factor in how much worse wind is than snow.

So ironically had I simply played it straight, I wouldn't have won in the first place. Since the only reason I won was I was trying not to win, I don't feel bad using the score I would have gotten had I not played week 17 at all.

So in my opinion jbb9s deserved the win. And so it is.

I apologize for the delay(s). It has been my intention every year to post the results quickly, but when the Pats season ends badly I go into a funk concerning all things Patriot. I'll try to do better this year. The team could really help in that regard by winning the Super Bowl

This is exactly what I was trying to do as well. I put in a score that would for sure get me only a top ten placing. I'm wondering if it's too late now though to let you know that my real prediction was 6 - 0 as well. I would have won...
