Default Tom Cable says that the Pats are holding up the trade and Seymour wants to be Raider

How coach Tom Cable addressed the Richard Seymour trade following practice:

Quote:
Cable: Real quickly about the Richard Seymour issue. We have attempted to make a deal. There are some issues still between him and the Patriots that are being worked out. Hoping that will be resolved as quickly as possible. We know that the player wants to be here, but we have no control really over those issues. That’s really all I’m going to talk about it for now.

Q: Can you tell us how you know he wants to be here? Have you spoken with him?

Cable: I have talked to him.

Q: So he said he wants to be here?

Cable: Yes.

Q: Is there a day you have to have him by to play in the opener?

Cable: As soon as possible. That’s really the only way to answer that right

According to the AP via Mike Reiss' twitter, the Pats are unaware of an issues on their end of holding up the trade.

Quote:
RT @bydavidwhite Patriots official says he's unaware of any difficulties surrounding the trade, per AP. Getting very interesting.

Tom Cable is a great, capable leader of men. I take him (and all NFL head coaches) at their word.

Maybe the Pats are fitting Seymour with an iron jaw just in case Cable gets mad at him and decides to haul off at him.

BTW, didn't see the other thread. Mods, you can combine with the other thread.

Cable & the Raiders are such a joke that BB can't resist doing business with them.

What issue could there be between the Pats and Seymour?? What is he waiting for?? I mean really...that is totally ridiculous..THERE is nothing the Pats can do at all.... They can't change his contract...or change any of the terms...if they promised him something..THAT can not be the same of a new team...can it?? Pure baloney..if he wanted to be in Oakland..he would have gone..maybe he wishes to say goodbyes to the front Office..

Tom Cable's word is as good as gold...ask his assistant coach whose jaw he broke and then denied the whole thing.

It'll be worth the monetary equivalent during the civil trial.
