Sounds like some of you have seen 16 more games of Sanchez then I.

Sanchez will be not only throwing to Stuckey and Cotchery, but also Keller and Leon, that should help some. Not to mention a good O line and running game.

I do agree the kid is raw. I expect plenty of rookie mistakes, and was all for starting Clemmens and letting him ride the bench.

It is what it is.

Sanchez "lit it up"? I don't know about that. Like someone else said, the TD to Stuckey was more a broken play than a great throw. Nonetheless, he did look good. Not stunning or anything, but solid. I definitely agree with Rex's decision to start him over Clemens, who never struck me as a very smart QB.

I'm not sure what he'll do this year-- probably 20 TDs or less, maybe single-digit picks-- but I think he'll be a good to great QB one day. We'll see. His biggest weakness is lack of experience and we may see that come into play later in the regular season.

Man, the kids looks like the real deal to me. I think he has elevated that entire franchise. Expectations should be sky high for all in New York & New Jersey. Anything less than 11 wins and advancing deep into the playoffs is a huge disappointment.

Considering the WRs that he's throwing to, nothing much. I don't think anyone expects him to be stellar right away-if he can get 20+ TDs with less than 15 INTs, I'll be awfully impressed.

He's got the smile, he's got the attitude, he's got the So-Cal background--I smell 14-2. He's gonna tear up the league. Hide the women and children

He will probably talk about how they are the greatest team ever, and are superbowl bound....untill they have a bad game again, then he will turn on all the players and talk about how they suck. Thats what all jets fans do.

ummmmmmm.....

The dude was drafted 5th overall...

they gave up a 1st and 2nd rounder plus 3 players.

he is a HUGE gamble. I saw him play at USC, reminded me a lot of that Leinart guy.

back to back trade up drafts can kill teams, especially if one of those has almost already been an official bust (Gholston)

=================================================

They swapped 1st round picks gave up there 2nd and 3 players, 1 of which was a starter. A hell of a deal. Thanks Eric.

No trade up for Ghoulston, the Jets were slotted #6 overall due to finishing 4 and 12 in 07/08.

Since Tannebaum the Jets have traded up for Revis, Keller, D Harris, and Sanchez in the first, not sure Harris might have been a 2nd rounder. Jets traded down in the 2nd then back up to get Kellen Clemmens.

They also traded up to grab Shonn Greene #1 in the 3rd round of the last draft.

Quality over quanity has left the Jets thin as far as depth, but has also helped to establish a core of quality young starters.
